Differential Diagnosis

Pigs - Feet and/or Legs

 

Caustic agents

 


Presence of erythema, swelling and oedema of skin and mucosae leading to sloughing and ulceration, followed by serocellular crusting. Usually most severe on snout and tongue and symmetrically distributed. High group morbidity rate.

Differentiated from FMD by the absence of vesicular lesions and high fever.
