Differential Diagnosis

Cattle - Mouth and/or Nares

 

Calf Diphtheria

 

Presence of a moist painful cough, severe inspiratory dyspnoea, salivation, painful swallowing movements, anorexia, depression. High fever (41ºC). Low group morbidity rate.

Differentiated from FMD by the absence of vesicular and erosive lesions, mucopurulent nasal discharge, high group morbidity rate and lameness.
