Differential Diagnosis

Cattle - Mouth and/or Nares

 

Bovine Papular Stomatitis

 

Presence of papules on the muzzle, inside the nostrils and in the oral cavity of animals from 2 weeks to 2 years of age. Group morbidity generally 100%. Fever, if present, is slight (39.5ºC).

Differentiated from FMD by the absence of vesicular and erosive lesions, high fever, and high morbidity and mortality among young stock.
