Presence of cuts and/or associated bruising (haemorrhages, swelling, pain,
heat) at localised sites if due to acute physical trauma. Lesions bilaterally
distributed if due to poor flooring.
Differentiated from FMD by the absence of vesicular and erosive lesions
and high fever.
