Scope

The AVIS Rinderpest system contains five seminal works on the education and diagnosis of Rinderpest. Combined, these five modules form a system that covers every aspect of Rinderpest management from planning national and regional strategies to training animal health workers and laboratory staff and educating rural farming communities on the importance of vigilance.

Each module is interconnected by hot words, graphics and related topics, enabling users to instantly access deeper levels of information on any given subject. Multimedia technology puts users at the centre of an information web collected in one source and accessible by the click of a button. Colour photographs, animations and diagnostic tools facilitate the user's understanding of complex science and demonstrate the promotional materials necessary for a successful Rinderpest campaign. The programme also contains a sophisticated glossary, user-defined search facility, and Tools button for fast access to training materials.

Modularity

The AVIS Rinderpest system is modular in construction allowing for regular updates of source information. This modularity also provides an option to supply the system in its entirety or in any one of its five parts. The Rinderpest Modules Written and designed by world leaders in the field of animal health care and multimedia systems, the Rinderpest modules provide a combined informational and operations tool, supported by internationally recognised reference sources. As such they aid:
